Acclaimed Iranian actress, Tanaz Tabatabaei, has been introduced as members of the jury to appraise the films competing in the domestic competition section of the 9th round of Varesh International Film Festival.

Born in 1983, Tabatabaei, is a graduate of Theater from University of Tehran. She has played in several cinematic works including Hard Makeup, Khashm Va Hayahoo, Rokhe Divaneh (Crazy Castle), Villaeis, Occupant in the Middle Floor and Death of The Fish, etc.

She has won several awards from Iran's Film Critics and Writers Association, US Women's Independent Film Festival, San Francisco International Film Festival and Iran Film Critics Association. Tabatabaei has also been nominated for the Fajr Film Festival three times.
