Nima Javidi juror of 9th Varesh Int’l Filmfest

Acclaimed Iranian director, Nima Javidi, has been introduced as members of the jury to appraise the films competing in the domestic competition section of the 9th round of Varesh International Film Festival.

 

Born in 1979, Javidi has a Mechanic Engineering degree. Javidi is an official member of the Asia Pacific Screen Academy, a member of Directors Guild of Iran House of Cinema, a member of Screenwriters Guild of Iran House of Cinema, and a member of Short Film Guild of Iran House of Cinema.

 

He has been a jury member in 54th Gijon Film Festival in Spain and a jury member of 19th Tbilisi Film festival in Georgia. His last activity was screenwriting and directing a movie named “The Warden”.

 

He has won awards such as the Golden Pyramid for the best film in Cairo Festival, the award for the best screenplay in Stockholm Film Festival, the award for the best film in Poland Ars Film Festival, the award for the best directing and the best screenplay in Gijon Festival, the award for the best film by France National Institute of Eastern Languages and Civilizations, Silver Simorgh of the jury members in Fajr Film Festival, the award of the best film in Varesh Film Festival, the award for the best Asian short film in Tehran International Short Film Festival, and so on.
